The coastline is chalk, so after a storm the sea takes on a glassy grey-green hue which she captures in her ‘Stormcalm’ range.
Smokefiring a surface creates the impression of swirling waters in ‘Deep Sea’ and ‘Shallows’.
With subtle dark shades of blues and greens and added texture she creates ‘Stormshore’.
Having completed her studies in London, Tessa set up a studio. Since then,her ceramics have been shown in galleries across the UK. She has exhibited in ceramic fairs both here and in Europe and trade fairs in New York. International projects such as a 20 vessel commission for an Ikebana exhibition in Kyoto , japan have provided fruitful collaborative inspiration. Her work is held in public and private collections in the UK and abroad.
